Patriotic Song Coming From Stacey |
 |
Phil Stacey has released the patriotic anthem “Old Glory” to country radio for airplay over the Fourth of July holiday. Phil was inspired to write “Old Glory” while serving active duty in the United States Navy. Stacey has been playing
the song during radio visits, his live shows and even a few weeks ago at the Grand Ole Opry where he got a standing ovation. “I’m proud to have the chance to record this song,” says Phil. “I wrote it several years ago while I was still in the Navy and it means a lot to get to share it with all the country music fans to honor our service members.” Phil made a name for himself when he performed for millions of viewers each week during his competition on the sixth season of American Idol.

McGraw Fan Still A Fan |
 |
The fan Tim McGraw booted from his show in Auburn, Washington, last week, says he's still a big fan and doesn't really understand what happened. McGraw's publicist says Tim thought the man attacked a female fan. Thirty-year-old Marcus Nirschl denies any such
altercation. He tells CMT "I didn't hit nobody. I'm the nicest guy you'll ever meet." He says he was getting shoved as he made his way to his seat and may have pushed some people when he lost his balance. McGraw pulled Nirschl onstage and booted him from the show. Nirschl says when McGraw reached out his hand he thought it was a friendly gesture. He says, "I really thought he wanted to pull me onstage for some dancing and stuff." No charges have been filed in connection with the incident. Nirschl says he has no hard feelings. He says, "I still like the guy."
